2nd day - plotting and mapping.

Day 2 began with a parking challenge....

Most of Port Chester has two-hour metered parking but, with the help of a few local residents, and my Spanish, we learned about Poningo Street...All-day free street parking!

We began by mapping the Byram River onto the gallery walls, first in white tape and then with graphite. We then began plotting where the major clusters of visual activity would be, first in sketches and then I started drawing directly on the walls.

Beth ventured out in search of old Port Chester phonebooks and found some from the turn of the century at the public library. She turned the paper into pulp which she is now sculpting into barnacles, stay tuned for pictures of those tomorrow!
