We are so pleased that Pam Solo, founder and President of CSI, will be participating in our Artist Talk on Nov. 17."The map on the left was commissioned by the Civil Society Institute in 2005 as part of an effort to
focus attention on the consequences of global warming.  It was developed
from data derived from the International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).  The map
on the right was released by FEMA to show the flooding and storm surge
damage, just last week, as a result of Sandy.  The climate scientists who provided the data
for the first map were so stunned by the implications of this in 2005 and they feared a
backlash from the NY media and so it was not published at the time.
No one wishes we were wrong about the warnings and the implications of global warming more than we. Sadly, we were right."- Pam Solo
